Mary Powell has been involved in the entertainment industry in Louisville for many, many years, first at the Toy Tiger until its closing and then at O'Malley's Corner/City Block Louisville until its closing. She has helped organize and produce many of the biggest events in this city, logging countless hours helping others, producing events to benefit Juvenile Diabetes, Leukemia/Lymphoma Society, M.E.R.F., City Harvest, Meghan's Mountain, Dave Ernspiker , Toys for Tots, Kosair Children's Hospital and as well as events to benefit local fallen Firefighters and Police Officers families. She is now facing serious medical problems, with the expenses associated with those. The annual Toy Tiger Reunion show has been designated a benefit for Mary, with all proceeds going to assist her.

Since 1981, The Musicians Emergency Resource Foundation (MERF), a 502(c)3 Corporation, has granted financial and resource assistance to Kentuckiana music industry professionals in times of need and emergency crisis. The heart and soul of a caring music community, MERF receives applications for aid and then allocates assistance based upon a juried process by the board of directors and advisory board. Funds for this are raised by live musical events, with the music donated by musicians in the Kentuckiana Area. More information is at www.merfbenefit.org. Donations will be accepted at the show and on the website via PayPal.
